A Victoria Blue Sage (Salvia fainacea)
------------------------------------------------ Another Victoria Blue Sage Report.
Once again a scepter came before me. It had 0.5g of Victoria Blue Sage (Salvia farinacea) flower and leaves in it as an incense. I put the scepter to my face and inhaled deep twice. It took a couple minutes to do so, but the smoke of the incense was rather smooth. This despite the flame being hot. After about a minute more, I began to feel a little sweaty. That was followed by a mellow felling. At that point there were some minor CEVs of a filed of blue-violet flowers and beams of blue light. There was also an MJ like tactility to the buzz that commenced. At the 8 minute mark there was a slowing of time and some notable drowsiness. When I closed my eyes, there was more of the floral CEVs. Very dreamy visions of a field. I saw a vision of a man with a strange tattoo on his arm too. Then another scene of the field of blue flowers. Some of the flowers look like the Victoria Blue Sage, but other, also, look like May Night Meadow Sage as well. When I opened my eyes, there was some vague patterning around me. It was not quite of the OEV stage, but it was there none the less. The visual pattering to things around me continues for another hour or so. The effect of the S. farinacea was stronger this time, but I did quite a bit more of it too. The room I was in was dimly lit, but there was still some light. I'm thinking that it might have been more interesting in total darkness. An extract of the S. farinacea may also soon appear in the darkness. Such could be a even more interesting dream.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
An 8X Victoria Blue Sage Incense Dream.
A pack of an 8X extract infused leaf of some Victoria Blue/ Mealy-cup Sage(Salvia farinacea) came before me. It said that it had 0.6g in it. Not quite knowing what to make of it yet, only 0.1g of the 8X made it into the scepter the 1st night.
The scepter and torch came before me. Once the incense was in the scepter, the scepter was light. The incense burned with a crackle in the scepter. A few sparks flew from it. The smoke of it was some what fragrant. In the 1st inhalation it was pretty much gone, but I took an other breath of to get the residue. Soon thereafter I got a mellow cloudy sensation. While the leaf of the Victoria Blue was MJ like, the extract felt almost opiate like. There was no visuals though. Just this cloudy and mellow sensation. That was followed by drowsiness, and I soon after fell asleep.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another Night With 8X Victoria Blue.
Once again the sun went down in the land of enchantment. Once again, I found the pack of 8X S.farinacea incense had came before me in the dark of the night. There was 500mg of the extract left. This time all of it found its way into the scepter.
The torch came to greet the scepter. The flame of the torch went against the scepter's head five times. The smoke of the scepter was thick and fragrant. At first the scepter's contents crackled in the darkness. After the fifth inhalation of the vapors, I felt the mellow cloudy sensation again. This time it was stronger, of course.
Earlier that day I had been lifting stuff and sitting in front of the computer for way too long. This had lead to a tension in my lower back. Just one of those minor back aches. Well I found that the incense had made the back ache very much lessened. I pricked my hand with a pen, and that sensation, also, felt less than it normally would. Oh my I thought, this stuff seems to have an analgesic effect to it. There was also a minor flashing of a patterning in the darkness, but it did not even manifest itself into an aurora. The patterning just stayed rather vague. I would not even call it an OEV(open eye visual). However, at one point I closed my eyes, and I got a CEV(closed eye visual) of a dining room table set for some sort of party. That, however, was followed by drowsiness, and I soon thereafter fell asleep.
There was no hangover in the morning. With opiates I sometimes get this lethargic hung over feel the nest day, but with the incense that was not the case. However upon waking, I noted that the back tension and some of the back ache had returned. Of course, the effects of the incense had worn off by that time. At this point, I would compare Victoria Blue Sage to a small dose of something like opium or hydrocodone. Visionary wise it may be alright for a few CEVs(closed ey visuals) and as a dream enhancer, but it is not what I would call a powerful hallucinogen.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I got another e-letter from Jimmy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tom and Victoria. What a nice couple: A Kratom, Victoria Blue Sage and Coffee mix story.
One fine morning I found a sample of 10X Kratom extract in the old tea tin.
I mixed a half gram of it into my morning coffee. A day before I had acquired a spastic back ache, and I figured some kratom would help. About 20 minutes later I started to feel a stimulant buzz that was more that just the caffeine. However, the analgesic effect did not yet set in.
Thus, a bit more kratom seemed in order. After another 20 minutes, I put a mixture of 0.2g 10X kratom and ~0.2g of the leaf of some Victoria Blue sage( Salvia farenacea ) into the scepter. The flame came before me, and it torched the scepter. The first hit led to a stimulant rush of the coke like sort. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th hits led to a mellow wave that came over me. The mellow opiate like feeling became a nod out, and I fell asleep.
Upon falling a sleep, I had an odd dream. A dream about a Greek boy taking care of a couple of Centaurs. In the first stall of the stable was a big male one, and in the second stall was a smaller female one. The boy had to feed and brush them. The smaller female seemed to be the daughter of the bigger male one. Both had silky brown fur with a darker mane that led up to the hair upon their heads.
I awoke from the dream. After waking from the dream, I went to write it down. At that point I noticed some macroscopia( thing looking larger than normal ). My hands seemed huge in a surreal way. At that point, I also noticed that my back pain had gone away.
In the past I had tried the S.farenacea as both leaf and as an extract. In small abouts the leaf has a mild taste and effect similar to MJ leaf, but that effect wares off quick. The extract has more of an opiate like effect. There seemed to be a synergy between the S. farenarea and the kratom, so more tests may be in order.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Jimmy left me some more notes. The following is what was written upon them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
50mg 40X SD + 150mg 15X Kratom as an incense.
After the inhalation of the incense before me, a buzz rushed over me. The pain that had been in my neck subsided. Auroras of a strobe light like sort came to me in the darkness. The auroras formed into full OEVs, and those became elf faced tree trunks in front of me.
After about 2 hours some of the analgesic effects faded. Some the pain in my neck had returned.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On another occasion one had mixed 15X kratom with some 6X green fae incense.
Green Fae incense being a mixture of extracts of wormwood, mug-wort, and catnip saturated onto some more catnip buds. It is a bitter floaty smoke. The 2 substances have a synergic effect together, and the opiate like analgesic effect of the kratom is intensified. It seemed to lasted for a few extra hours too.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is another story about another type of sage.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Visit With Some Anise-scented Sage.
Another pack of an herb came before me. This pack had 400mg of the leaves and flowers of some Salvia gauranitica in it. The scepter was hungry to be fed, so it was given a meal of the anise smelling herb. The torch came to help the scepter cook its meal.
The fragrant vapors were nice. I could not help but inhale upon the smoke five times. After that, I was hit by a mellow tranquil feeling. It was very much like that I have had from benzodiazepines before. The feeling included sedation, and I soon fell asleep. There were no visuals from it. I may end up smelling of an extract of this one day, but I will not expect too much more from it. To help with sleeping this sage would be a nice one though.

Some more Green Fae Tea.
Three tea bags were steeped in the hot water. This time, however, a bit on tansy was added to the other herbs(catnip, garden sage, lemon balm, wormwood, mugwort and anise seeds). The taste was very bitter as usual, but a bit of some diet peach-citrus soda made it taste excellent. After about 15 minutes a anesthetic type buzz set in. There was some minor visual disturbances in the dark, but I would not call such as true OEVs. They were just too vague. There were some CEVs of a dream-like type.
I remember a dream about being in a temple with pillars. I looked up, and I saw a mural of God in the clouds. I looked down again, and I saw a fea with long antennas above her eyes.
The next morning I got up. For a while I still felt groggy. However, I would not call it hung over. There was no head ache or such as that.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is a story about an SD and Blue Lotus mixture. It seems to have been an experimental thing, so I am putting it here in this blog.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
An SD and Blue Lotus Mixture
Once upon a some day in the land of enchantment, 100mg of an 8X Blue Lotus extract fell upon 1/3 as much 9X SD inside of the incense scepter. Jimmy the Guinea pig thought that it might be a tasty treat to inhale, so he tasted of the smoke in two drags.
After about 20 seconds the effects hit him. However, this was in the morning, so the light of day did not let the full effects set in. He did, however, have to say the following about the effects of such a mix.
Beside me there were these men replicating from behind me. However, the light from the window seemed to hold them back. Such that they stayed in the shadows. There seemed to be another world near them, but that did not manifest at all. I just kind of sensed it near them. There was, also, this get up and go feeling. Not unlike that which has been felt on just SD before. After about 10 minutes, the SD like aspects of the trip faded.
For a couple more hours there was this glazed over feeling. It was more like an opiate euphoria with out the drowsiness, this feeling I recognized as being that of the Blue Lotus. The colors of things were enhanced, but there was still a cloudy mellowness to everything. The overall impression was that the combination just had an additional effect to it, and not the synergic one that has been reported by others. Perhaps, another note about the same type of mixture with more Blue Lotus will show up here some day soon. However, the cuneiform tablets will have to first be translated into English.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
An 8X Blue Lotus and SD leaf Combo: Part 2
This time a mixture of 200mg of 8X Blue Lotus( http://www.erowid.org/plants/bluelotus/bluelotus.shtml ) extract and 200mg of plain Salvia divinorum ( http://www.erowid.org/plants/salvia/salvia.shtml ) leaf was placed into the scepter. The scepter and a torch then came before Jimmy. When the torch came upon the scepter, Jimmy inhaled twice of the vapors. After that, this is what he had to say of it.
I became rather dazed. There was some visual patterning around me, but nothing well defined. It was kind of like waves, but not to the point of geometric auroras. At that point, I also became rather hot and sweaty. I had to get up to wash my face, and I wondered around the house a bit in the process. I was still hot, so I turned on a fan, and laid back down upon my bed. Most of the SD like effects wore off after 12 minutes, but there was a lingering buzz from the Blue Lotus. There was an opiate like feeling that lingered on for about two more hours. There was a get and go kind of stimulant feeling, but it was a Blue Lotus type get up and go feeling. That is a different type of get up and go feeling than the SD like one.
All and all, it still seemed more like just an additional effect. This time the Blue Lotus dose was doubled, and the SD dose reduced. The effects were what one would expect after the first related experiment in part 1.

Roman Villa: An SD + SC quid Trip.
One night 3 fresh S. divinorum leaves and a hand full of fresh S. coccinea leaves came before Jimmy in the land of enchantment. After putting the leaves in his mouth, he chewed them for a few minutes. Then he worked the leaf meal under his tongue.
12 minutes passed before he started to feel something. It was a watery feeling. The sensation that things were becoming liquidy.
At about 20 minutes, a scene of a Roman villa came before him. Of such, the following is what he had to say. "There was a well built patio area behind this villa. The back of the villa had a porch area with marble columns. The columns were supporting an overhang. Bellow that there was a floor made of buffed marble. Behind the villa was the yard, and in this yard was a boxed off garden with pink flowers in it. It was kind of like a giant flower box made of stone or concrete.Near the flower box were some stone benches. Upon one of the benches a girl was sitting down. I could not get a very clear look at her though. The scene faded.
Some mild patterning in the darkness was still there. However, the stronger OEVs had faded, so I closed my eyes. A scene of the Roman villa came back to me. This time it was more like an awaken dream than looking through a portal, as it had been before that point in the vision quest. In the back of the yard I saw a stone irrigation system. It was lined with the same kind of stone that the flower box garden was made of. The irrigation system lead to the flower box. One of the stones in the system looked like as if it could be lifted up to let water into the system to water the flowers. When I opened my eyes, the watery feeling was still there. However, I was getting drowsy, and I soon fell asleep at the one hour point."
In this trip he seems to have been shown scenes of Roman Architecture. I'm not sure if there is anymore meaning to these things than that though. I'll have to look up information on Roman irrigation systems to see if they had used watering methods like the one seen here.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Green Fae Incense: A Bitter Floaty Smoke.
Once upon a dream, Jimmy came upon a jar, and in this jar he put 10g each of wormwood, mug-wort and catnip herbs. Over such herbs was poured some 91% isopropyl alcohol (IPA). The jar was shut, and the mix was let to set for a week in a nice dark place. After a week had passed, the solution was strained and another batch of IPA added to the jar. The solution was placed into a glass dish. After another week, the second extraction was poured off through the strainer. The second lot added to the first. Then the whole batch of it was left to sit until the IPA had vaporized off. There was a bit of water left on the tray toward the end of the third week, so he put 2g of catnip buds into the tray to absorb the extracts of the herbal mixture. After another week, the whole lot of it had dried. 4.8g of extract was collected from the tray.
There had been 32g of herbs to start. Thus, the extracted incense was >6X but <7X. He rounded the figure down, and he called it a 4.8g of 6X incense. The buds of this incense were still sticky due to a high resin content. After all about 2.8g of the mix was the resin from the extracted herbs. Needless to say, it looked tasty, so a nice size bit ended up in Jimmy's incense scepter.
The smoke from the incense was think and pungent. It had a bitterness to it, but that was to be expected since there was to Artamisea herbs in the mix. Soon thereafter, a nice tranquilizer type feeling came over him. It made him feel as if he was flouting about the house and yard. The smoke had gave him a mellow glazed over sensation.
On another day, he tried burning some more of the 6X Green Fae incense. That time he measured out 0.2g of it. This was about twice as much as the first time. This time there was an MJ like feel to it at first, but that was soon followed by the tranquilizer like glazed over floaty feeling. A sedation, drowsiness, soon followed. As he lay down for a nap, CEVs of a field of flowers came to him. These vision were of a normal dream like state. The mix seemed to work well as a dream enhancer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Sage Old Man and the Lion.
Jimmy did another experiment. He combined lion's tail with white sage(Salvia apiana). It was ~1/3g of a a 50:50 mix. This time it was smoked in a pipe, and the effect were a nice dreamy sedative one. It was a short term effect, though. It seemed similar to a small dose of MJ, but it did not last as long.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Cat and the Lion
Lion's tail herb and or flowers can make a good bitter tea. It, also, mixes well with some other herb like hops and catnip. They are both sedative herbs too, and there does seem to be a synergy between the lion's tail and the other two herbs. It makes for a nice nightcap tea. BTW, all the herbs were dry. The mix was steeped for about 15 minutes before drinking. The tea was a bit bitter, but not more so than say a good beer would be. The sedative effect reminded one of skullcap tea, as well.
One day that darn Guinea pig, Jimmy ran up to me with a note in his mouth. I took the note out of his mouth, and this is what was written upon it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Baby Leaf Sage
While wondering around some university campus, I found some interesting plants growing among the shrubs. They were some interesting examples of a specie of sage known as Baby Leaf Sage (Salvia microphylla). Samples of both the white flowered and red flowered varieties were collected. This sage is indigenous to northern Mexico, and was growing a little ways north of old Mexico there in this instance.
The plant material was left to dry in a cool dark place. Once the specimen was dries, it's weight was 3.5g. 0.3g of the specimen was prepared for bio-assay via the incense scepter method. The dried herb was placed into the end of the a wand like scepter that had never been used before. I did not wish any residues to interfere with the assay of this interesting, and tasty herb. The herb had a smell that was both musky like common sage , but also at the same time fruity sweet.
In a semi-darkened room I lay down. Then the torch came before me, and the incineration of the contents of the scepter commenced. Four inhalations were partaken of.
A tranquil sensation accompanied by a drifty gravity feeling came over me. The feeling was subtle but surreal. It was very reminiscent of a small smoked dose of SD leaf. There was some visual disturbances that manifested themselves upon a wall as a replicated patterning. It is like as if I was on thew edge as it were. Kind of like as if something was about to happen, but it just did not happen. It was like as if waiting for something to take place. It is hard to describe, but it was like being both tranquil and in anticipation at the same time. This on the edge of the surreal type buzziness lasted about one hour.
Commentary; This sage warrants more investigation. Perhaps, an extract of it in total darkness would bring out more of the visual effects. The sensations were quite like SD at a lower dosage range.
I'd have to say that the 300mg of the S. microphylla is much like a 200mg dose of S. divinorum leaf.

"Squeak, squeak" Said Jimmy The Ginea Pig: Some More of Jimmy's Notes.
More S. microphyllis notes.
After a sample of baby leaf sage (Salvia microphylla) was acquired, it was measured out at 3.5g. 0.3g of the leaf was previously tested by a vaporizing method. The remaining 3.2 was cleaned of seeds. The remaining 3g of foliage and flower was then extracted with 91% isoprpopyl alcohol (IPA).
After about 2 weeks, the S. microphylla extract had been extracted and the IPA dried off.
The resulting resin was measured at ~0.3g. The resin smelled reminiscent of some high grade Cannabis. 0.2g of the 10X resin was placed upon a section of aluminum foil. Then the foil was bent around and clamped together with an alligator clamp. A flame was applied to the middle of the foil. The resulting vapors were then inhaled. There was a mild up feeling and some minor visual disturbances consisting of an aurora pattern, as well. The smoke left a bitter taste in the mouth.
A surreal buzz was evident, and five minutes later a drifty uplifted feeling was still felt. After about ten minutes more, I noted a mild euphoric feeling. However, there was no break though. Another 5 minutes passed, and there was this strange cloudiness around me. After 10 more minutes past, I decided to take the final 100mg of remaining 10X S. microphylla resin.
The resin was also taken by heating it on a piece of foil. A rush like feeling cam over me.
There was this minor CEV of two men on a white stage coach. The stage coach was on some muddy road. I then opened my eyes back up. I still felt strange. It was like as if something weird was about to happen, but it did not materialize. The effects were similar to a very small dose of S. divinorum leaf, but it did not get any stronger than a level 2. There was just no break through. It was like a glass ceiling was there preventing it from getting any stronger. I ran across the same thing with S. coccinea, as well.
------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------
Another Mixed Sage Incense
On fine day a pinch each of Clary sage , garden sage and divine sage leaf made their way into the scepter. Just a hair less than 1/3g of herbal material was put therein. 4 inhalations were taken. A mellow cloudiness came over me. It only lasted a half hour before the drowsiness that accompanies it put me to sleep. There were no visuals, but it was a relaxing smoke.
----------------------------------------------------------
Passion Flower Tea and Some Tincture of SD.
3 tea bags with 10g of passion flower herb were brewed into a very black herb tea. The infusion was boiled for quite a while. The dose was only ~1/3 that of an MAOI dose, but that was not the purpose in this case. The harmala alkaloids plus SD mix is not an MAOI reaction but a synergic one. Thus, the full MAOI type dose of passion flower (75 to 100g) was not needed. I've mixed the harmala alkaloids with Salvia divinorum before, but I did not take good notes in the past.
I started drinking the herb tea a half hour before taking the 2.5ml of SD tincture. A mild sedation was felt from the tea. At that point, the tincture was dropped under my tongue. It burned at first as usual. After about 15 minutes, some visual disturbances commenced. The OEVs were not as strong as the CEVs. There were some of the usual auroras crossing over my field of vision, though. At one point they formed into the owl entity that I have seen many times before. I feel that he is an archetype for gnostic knowledge.
The owl's feathers flow well with the aurora patters. It was like he was flying over me all night. The effect of this mixture was not all that intense, but it lasted more than 8 hours. Oral SD doses usually only last 2 to 4 hours at most.
This mixture may be a good one for people that take SD for depression. Since the duration of the effect seems to be greater than twice the usual SD oral dose effect, it would be very good therapeutic value.
