A Victoria Blue Sage (Salvia fainacea)

------------------------------------------------
Another Victoria Blue Sage Report.

Once again a scepter came before me. It had 0.5g of Victoria Blue Sage (Salvia farinacea) flower and leaves in it as an incense. I put the scepter to my face and inhaled deep twice. It took a couple minutes to do so, but the smoke of the incense was rather smooth. This despite the flame being hot. After about a minute more, I began to feel a little sweaty. That was followed by a mellow felling.

At that point there were some minor CEVs of a filed of blue-violet flowers and beams of blue light. There was also an MJ like tactility to the buzz that commenced. At the  8 minute mark there was a slowing of time and some notable drowsiness. When I closed my eyes, there was more of the floral CEVs. Very dreamy visions of a field. I saw a vision of a man with a strange tattoo on his arm too. Then another scene of the field of blue flowers. Some of the flowers look like the Victoria Blue Sage, but other, also, look like May Night Meadow Sage as well. When I opened my eyes, there was some vague patterning around me. It was not quite of the OEV stage, but it was there none the less.

The visual pattering to things around me continues for another hour or so. The effect of the S. farinacea was stronger this time, but I did quite a bit more of it too. The room I was in was dimly lit, but there was still some light. I'm thinking that it might have been more interesting in total darkness. An extract of the S. farinacea may also soon appear in the darkness. Such could be a even more interesting dream.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

An 8X Victoria Blue Sage Incense Dream.

A pack of an 8X extract infused leaf of some Victoria Blue/ Mealy-cup Sage(Salvia farinacea) came before me. It said that it had 0.6g in it. Not quite knowing what to make of it yet, only 0.1g of the 8X made it into the scepter the 1st night.

The scepter and torch came before me. Once the incense was in the scepter, the scepter was light. The incense burned with a crackle in the scepter. A few sparks flew from it. The smoke of it was some what fragrant. In the 1st inhalation it was pretty much gone, but I took an other breath of to get the residue. Soon thereafter I got a mellow cloudy sensation. While the leaf of the Victoria Blue was MJ like, the extract felt almost opiate like. There was no visuals though. Just this cloudy and mellow sensation. That was followed by drowsiness, and I soon after fell asleep.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another Night With 8X Victoria Blue.

Once again the sun went down in the land of enchantment. Once again, I found the pack of 8X S.farinacea incense had came before me in the dark of the night. There was 500mg of the extract left. This time all of it found its way into the scepter.

The torch came to greet the scepter. The flame of the torch went against the scepter's head five times. The smoke of the scepter was thick and fragrant. At first the scepter's contents crackled in the darkness. After the fifth inhalation of the vapors, I felt the mellow cloudy sensation again. This time it was stronger, of course.

Earlier that day I had been lifting stuff and sitting in front of the computer for way too long. This had lead to a tension in my lower back. Just one of those minor back aches. Well I found that the incense had made the back ache very much lessened. I pricked my hand with a pen, and that sensation, also, felt less than it normally would. Oh my I thought, this stuff seems to have an analgesic effect to it. There was also a minor flashing of a patterning in the darkness, but it did not even manifest itself into an aurora. The patterning just stayed rather vague. I would not even call it an OEV(open eye visual). However, at one point I closed my eyes, and I got a CEV(closed eye visual) of a dining room table set for some sort of party. That, however, was followed by drowsiness, and I soon thereafter fell asleep.

There was no hangover in the morning. With opiates I sometimes get this lethargic hung over feel the nest day, but with the incense that was not the case. However upon waking, I noted that the back tension and some of the back ache had returned. Of course, the effects of the incense had worn off by that time. At this point, I would compare Victoria Blue Sage to a small dose of something like opium or hydrocodone. Visionary wise it may be alright for a few CEVs(closed ey visuals) and as a dream enhancer, but it is not what I would call a powerful hallucinogen.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I got another e-letter from Jimmy.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tom and Victoria. What a nice couple: A Kratom, Victoria Blue Sage and Coffee mix story. One fine morning I found a sample of 10X Kratom extract in the old tea tin. I mixed a half gram of it into my morning coffee. A day before I had acquired a spastic back ache, and I figured some kratom would help. About 20 minutes later I started to feel a stimulant buzz that was more that just the caffeine. However, the analgesic effect did not yet set in.

Thus, a bit more kratom seemed in order. After another 20 minutes, I put a mixture of 0.2g 10X kratom and ~0.2g of the leaf of some Victoria Blue sage( Salvia farenacea ) into the scepter. The flame came before me, and it torched the scepter. The first hit led to a stimulant rush of the coke like sort. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th hits led to a mellow wave that came over me. The mellow opiate like feeling became a nod out, and I fell asleep.

Upon falling a sleep, I had an odd dream. A dream about a Greek boy taking care of a couple of Centaurs. In the first stall of the stable was a big male one, and in the second stall was a smaller female one. The boy had to feed and brush them. The smaller female seemed to be the daughter of the bigger male one. Both had silky brown fur with a darker mane that led up to the hair upon their heads.

I awoke from the dream. After waking from the dream, I went to write it down. At that point I noticed some macroscopia( thing looking larger than normal ). My hands seemed huge in a surreal way. At that point, I also noticed that my back pain had gone away.

In the past I had tried the S.farenacea as both leaf and as an extract. In small abouts the leaf has a mild taste and effect similar to MJ leaf, but that effect wares off quick. The extract has more of an opiate like effect. There seemed to be a synergy between the S. farenarea and the kratom, so more tests may be in order.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Jimmy left me some more notes. The following is what was written upon them.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

50mg 40X SD + 150mg 15X Kratom as an incense.

After the inhalation of the incense before me, a buzz rushed over me. The pain that had been in my neck subsided. Auroras of a strobe light like sort came to me in the darkness. The auroras formed into full OEVs, and those became elf faced tree trunks in front of me. After about 2 hours some of the analgesic effects faded. Some the pain in my neck had returned.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On another occasion one had mixed 15X kratom with some 6X green fae incense. Green Fae incense being a mixture of extracts of wormwood, mug-wort, and catnip saturated onto some more catnip buds. It is a bitter floaty smoke. The 2 substances have a synergic effect together, and the opiate like analgesic effect of the kratom is intensified. It seemed to lasted for a few extra hours too.

Here is another story about another type of sage.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A Visit With Some Anise-scented Sage.

Another pack of an herb came before me. This pack had 400mg of the leaves and flowers of some Salvia gauranitica in it. The scepter was hungry to be fed, so it was given a meal of the anise smelling herb. The torch came to help the scepter cook its meal.

The fragrant vapors were nice. I could not help but inhale upon the smoke five times. After that, I was hit by a mellow tranquil feeling. It was very much like that I have had from benzodiazepines before. The feeling included sedation, and I soon fell asleep. There were no visuals from it. I may end up smelling of an extract of this one day, but I will not expect too much more from it. To help with sleeping this sage would be a nice one though.

Some more Green Fae Tea.

Three tea bags were steeped in the hot water. This time, however, a bit on tansy was added to the other herbs(catnip, garden sage, lemon balm, wormwood, mugwort and anise seeds). The taste was very bitter as usual, but a bit of some diet peach-citrus soda made it taste excellent. After about 15 minutes a anesthetic type buzz set in. There was some minor visual disturbances in the dark, but I would not call such as true OEVs. They were just too vague. There were  some CEVs of a dream-like type.

I remember a dream about being in a temple with pillars. I looked up, and I saw a mural of God in the clouds. I looked down again, and I saw a fea with long antennas above her eyes.

The next morning I got up. For a while I still felt groggy. However, I would not call it hung over. There was no head ache or such as that.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is a story about an SD and Blue Lotus mixture. It seems to have been an experimental thing, so I am putting it here in this blog.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

An SD and Blue Lotus Mixture

Once upon a some day in the land of enchantment, 100mg of an 8X Blue Lotus extract fell upon 1/3 as much 9X SD inside of the incense scepter. Jimmy the Guinea pig thought that it might be a tasty treat to inhale, so he tasted of the smoke in two drags. After about 20 seconds the effects hit him. However, this was in the morning, so the light of day did not let the full effects set in. He did, however, have to say the following about the effects of such a mix.

Beside me there were these men replicating from behind me. However, the light from the window seemed to hold them back. Such that they stayed in the shadows. There seemed to be another world near them, but that did not manifest at all. I just kind of sensed it near them. There was, also, this get up and go feeling. Not unlike that which has been felt on just SD before. After about 10 minutes, the SD like aspects of the trip faded.

For a couple more hours there was this glazed over feeling. It was more like an opiate euphoria with out the drowsiness, this feeling I recognized as being that of the Blue Lotus. The colors of things were enhanced, but there was still a cloudy mellowness to everything. The overall impression was that the combination just had an additional effect to it, and not the synergic one that has been reported by others. Perhaps, another note about the same type of mixture with more Blue Lotus will show up here some day soon. However, the cuneiform tablets will have to first be translated into English.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

An 8X Blue Lotus and SD leaf Combo: Part 2

This time a mixture of 200mg of 8X Blue Lotus( http://www.erowid.org/plants/bluelotus/bluelotus.shtml ) extract and 200mg of plain Salvia divinorum ( http://www.erowid.org/plants/salvia/salvia.shtml ) leaf was placed into the scepter. The scepter and a torch then came before Jimmy. When the torch came upon the scepter, Jimmy inhaled twice of the vapors. After that, this is what he had to say of it.

I became rather dazed. There was some visual patterning around me, but nothing well defined. It was kind of like waves, but not to the point of geometric auroras. At that point, I also became rather hot and sweaty. I had to get up to wash my face, and I wondered around the house a bit in the process. I was still hot, so I turned on a fan, and laid back down upon my bed. Most of the SD like effects wore off after 12 minutes, but there was a lingering buzz from the Blue Lotus. There was an opiate like feeling that lingered on for about two more hours. There was a get and go kind of stimulant feeling, but it was a Blue Lotus type get up and go feeling. That is a different type of get up and go feeling than the SD like one.

All and all, it still seemed more like just an additional effect. This time the Blue Lotus dose was doubled, and the SD dose reduced. The effects were what one would expect after the first related experiment in part 1.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Roman Villa: An SD + SC quid Trip.

One night 3 fresh S. divinorum leaves and a hand full of fresh S. coccinea leaves came before Jimmy in the land of enchantment. After putting the leaves in his mouth, he chewed them for a few minutes. Then he worked the leaf meal under his tongue. 12 minutes passed before he started to feel something. It was a watery feeling. The sensation that things were becoming liquidy.

At about 20 minutes, a scene of a Roman villa came before him. Of such, the following is what he had to say. "There was a well built patio area behind this villa. The back of the villa had a porch area with marble columns. The columns were supporting an overhang. Bellow that there was a floor made of buffed marble. Behind the villa was the yard, and in this yard was a boxed off garden with pink flowers in it. It was kind of like a giant flower box made of stone or concrete.Near the flower box were some stone benches. Upon one of the benches a girl was sitting down. I could not get a very clear look at her though. The scene faded.

Some mild patterning in the darkness was still there. However, the stronger OEVs had faded, so I closed my eyes. A scene of the Roman villa came back to me. This time it was more like an awaken dream than looking through a portal, as it had been before that point in the vision quest. In the back of the yard I saw a stone irrigation system. It was lined with the same kind of stone that the flower box garden was made of. The irrigation system lead to the flower box. One of the stones in the system looked like as if it could be lifted up to let water into the system to water the flowers. When I opened my eyes, the watery feeling was still there. However, I was getting drowsy, and I soon fell asleep at the one hour point."

In this trip he seems to have been shown scenes of Roman Architecture. I'm not sure if there is anymore meaning to these things than that though. I'll have to look up information on Roman irrigation systems to see if they had used watering methods like the one seen here.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Green Fae Incense: A Bitter Floaty Smoke.

Once upon a dream, Jimmy came upon a jar, and in this jar he put 10g each of wormwood, mug-wort and catnip herbs. Over such herbs was poured some 91% isopropyl alcohol (IPA). The jar was shut, and the mix was let to set for a week in a nice dark place. After a week had passed, the solution was strained and another batch of IPA added to the jar. The solution was placed into a glass dish. After another week, the second extraction was poured off through the strainer. The second lot added to the first. Then the whole batch of it was left to sit until the IPA had vaporized off. There was a bit of water left on the tray toward the end of the third week, so he put 2g of catnip buds into the tray to absorb the extracts of the herbal mixture. After another week, the whole lot of it had dried. 4.8g of extract was collected from the tray.

There had been 32g of herbs to start. Thus, the extracted incense was >6X but <7X. He rounded the figure down, and he called it a 4.8g of 6X incense. The buds of this incense were still sticky due to a high resin content. After all about 2.8g of the mix was the resin from the extracted herbs. Needless to say, it looked tasty, so a nice size bit ended up in Jimmy's incense scepter.

The smoke from the incense was think and pungent. It had a bitterness to it, but that was to be expected since there was to Artamisea herbs in the mix. Soon thereafter, a nice tranquilizer type feeling came over him. It made him feel as if he was flouting about the house and yard. The smoke had gave him a mellow glazed over sensation.

On another day, he tried burning some more of the 6X Green Fae incense. That time he measured out 0.2g of it. This was about twice as much as the first time. This time there was an MJ like feel to it at first, but that was soon followed by the tranquilizer like glazed over floaty feeling. A sedation, drowsiness, soon followed. As he lay down for a nap, CEVs of a field of flowers came to him. These vision were of a normal dream like state. The mix seemed to work well as a dream enhancer.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Sage Old Man and the Lion.

Jimmy did another experiment. He combined lion's tail with white sage(Salvia apiana). It was ~1/3g of a a 50:50 mix. This time it was smoked in a pipe, and the effect were a nice dreamy sedative one. It was a short term effect, though. It seemed similar to a small dose of MJ, but it did not last as long.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Cat and the Lion

Lion's tail herb and or flowers can make a good bitter tea. It, also, mixes well with some other herb like hops and catnip. They are both sedative herbs too, and there does seem to be a synergy between the lion's tail and the other two herbs. It makes for a nice nightcap tea. BTW, all the herbs were dry. The mix was steeped for about 15 minutes before drinking. The tea was a bit bitter, but not more so than say a good beer would be. The sedative effect reminded one of skullcap tea, as well.

One day that darn Guinea pig, Jimmy ran up to me with a note in his mouth. I took the note out of his mouth, and this is what was written upon it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Baby Leaf Sage

While wondering around some university campus, I found some interesting plants growing among the shrubs. They were some interesting examples of a specie of sage known as Baby Leaf Sage (Salvia microphylla). Samples of both the white flowered and red flowered varieties were collected. This sage is indigenous to northern Mexico, and was growing a little ways north of old Mexico there in this instance.

The plant material was left to dry in a cool dark place. Once the specimen was dries, it's weight was 3.5g. 0.3g of the specimen was prepared for bio-assay via the incense scepter method. The dried herb was placed into the end of the a wand like scepter that had never been used before. I did not wish any residues to interfere with the assay of this interesting, and tasty herb. The herb had a smell that was both musky like common sage , but also at the same time fruity sweet.

In a semi-darkened room I lay down. Then the torch came before me, and the incineration of the contents of the scepter commenced. Four inhalations were partaken of.

A tranquil sensation accompanied by a drifty gravity feeling came over me. The feeling was subtle but surreal. It was very reminiscent of a small smoked dose of SD leaf. There was some visual disturbances that manifested themselves upon a wall as a replicated patterning. It is like as if I was on thew edge as it were. Kind of like as if something was about to happen, but it just did not happen. It was like as if waiting for something to take place. It is hard to describe, but it was like being both tranquil and in anticipation at the same time. This on the edge of the surreal type buzziness lasted about one hour.

Commentary; This sage warrants more investigation. Perhaps, an extract of it in total darkness would bring out more of the visual effects. The sensations were quite like SD at a lower dosage range. I'd have to say that the 300mg of the S. microphylla is much like a 200mg dose of S. divinorum leaf.

"Squeak, squeak" Said Jimmy The Ginea Pig: Some More of Jimmy's Notes.

More S. microphyllis notes.

After a sample of baby leaf sage (Salvia microphylla) was acquired, it was measured out at 3.5g. 0.3g of the leaf was previously tested by a vaporizing method. The remaining 3.2 was cleaned of seeds. The remaining 3g of foliage and flower was then extracted with 91% isoprpopyl alcohol (IPA).

After about 2 weeks, the S. microphylla extract had been extracted and the IPA dried off. The resulting resin was measured at ~0.3g. The resin smelled reminiscent of some high grade Cannabis. 0.2g of the 10X resin was placed upon a section of aluminum foil. Then the foil was bent around and clamped together with an alligator clamp. A flame was applied to the middle of the foil. The resulting vapors were then inhaled. There was a mild up feeling and some minor visual disturbances consisting of an aurora pattern, as well. The smoke left a bitter taste in the mouth.

A surreal buzz was evident, and five minutes later a drifty uplifted feeling was still felt. After about ten minutes more, I noted a mild euphoric feeling. However, there was no break though. Another 5 minutes passed, and there was this strange cloudiness around me. After 10 more minutes past, I decided to take the final 100mg of remaining 10X S. microphylla resin.

The resin was also taken by heating it on a piece of foil. A rush like feeling cam over me. There was this minor CEV of two men on a white stage coach. The stage coach was on some muddy road. I then opened my eyes back up. I still felt strange. It was like as if something weird was about to happen, but it did not materialize. The effects were similar to a very small dose of S. divinorum leaf, but it did not get any stronger than a level 2. There was just no break through. It was like a glass ceiling was there preventing it from getting any stronger. I ran across the same thing with S. coccinea, as well.

------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------

Another Mixed Sage Incense

On fine day a pinch each of Clary sage , garden sage and divine sage leaf made their way into the scepter. Just a hair less than 1/3g of herbal material was put therein. 4 inhalations were taken. A mellow cloudiness came over me. It only lasted a half hour before the drowsiness that accompanies it put me to sleep. There were no visuals, but it was a relaxing smoke.

----------------------------------------------------------

Passion Flower Tea and Some Tincture of SD.

3 tea bags with 10g of passion flower herb were brewed into a very black herb tea. The infusion was boiled for quite a while. The dose was only ~1/3 that of an MAOI dose, but that was not the purpose in this case. The harmala alkaloids plus SD mix is not an MAOI reaction but a synergic one. Thus, the full MAOI type dose of passion flower (75 to 100g) was not needed. I've mixed the harmala alkaloids with Salvia divinorum before, but I did not take good notes in the past.

I started drinking the herb tea a half hour before taking the 2.5ml of SD tincture. A mild sedation was felt from the tea. At that point, the tincture was dropped under my tongue. It burned at first as usual. After about 15 minutes, some visual disturbances commenced. The OEVs were not as strong as the CEVs. There were some of the usual auroras crossing over my field of vision, though. At one point they formed into the owl entity that I have seen many times before. I feel that he is an archetype for gnostic knowledge.

The owl's feathers flow well with the aurora patters. It was like he was flying over me all night. The effect of this mixture was not all that intense, but it lasted more than 8 hours. Oral SD doses usually only last 2 to 4 hours at most.

This mixture may be a good one for people that take SD for depression. Since the duration of the effect seems to be greater than twice the usual SD oral dose effect, it would be very good therapeutic value.

Calea and the Green Fae Incense.

The herbs being combined here are more along the lines of sedative/dream enhancing herbs.
These ones have been tested in the past, so this is more of a reassessment of them.

A 1:2 mixture of 6X green Fae Incense (A mixture of the extracts of catnip ( http://www.erowid.org/herbs/catnip/catnip.shtml ), mugwort ( http://www.erowid.org/herbs/mugwort/mugwort.shtml  ) and wormwood ( http://www.erowid.org/plants/wormwood/wormwood.shtml  )  extracts saturated onto catnip buds) and  Calea zacatechichi( http://www.erowid.org/plants/calea_zacatechichi/calea_zacatechichi.shtml ) herb were prepared.

0.2g of the mixture was partaken of that day. The specimen was put into the scepter for bio-analysis via incineration. The first noted effect was the usual MJ like buzz. Then things became more cloudy and tranquil. After 20 minutes there were some visual changes, but no OEV or CEV. it was more like an enhancement of colors in general. The cloudiness/haziness continued, as well. There was no notable synergy between the Calea and the green fae mixture.

At that point, I decided to sleep on it. After waking up at the 5 hour point, I did not recall any vivid or lucid dreams. I was still feeling a bit hazy. There seemed to have been an additional effect to the effects of Calea or the green fae mix alone. However, it was just the usual mild sedative buzz. The synergy one was hoping for did not occur.

---------------------------------

A Clary Sage, Calea and the Green Fae Incense Mix.

0.1 g of the previously mentioned Calea plus Green Fae Mix was mixed with an equal volume of Clary Sage ( Salvia sclarea L. [ http://www.hort.purdue.edu/newcrop/med-aro/factsheets/CLARY_SAGE.html  ] ). This in turn, was put into the scepter for bio-assay via incineration. After the mix was combusted and the smoke inhaled, a mild sedative buzz was noted. Sleep commenced thereafter, but no lucid or vivid dreams were recalled. This mix was weaker than the test above, as well.

----------------------------------

A Small Dose of Clary Sage Alone.

0.1g of Clary Sage ( Salvia sclarea [ http://www.hort.purdue.edu/newcrop/med-aro/factsheets/CLARY_SAGE.html  and http://www.cherylsherbs.com/Essential_oil_profile_clary_sage.htm ] ) was put into the scepter. The torch came before me, and the Clary sage was incinerated. It was then bio-assayed via inhalation. At first, there was just a very mild MJ like buzz. However, that was followed by a surreal buzz similar to a very small dose of SD leaf, but there was not that SD pull or gravity. Most of the effects were over in about an hour.  Anyway, Clary sage seems much more interesting than that Calea herb.

In some literature Clary sage is listed as a sedative with less toxicity to it than common garden sage(S. officinalis). The diturpine in Clary sage is sclareaol.

    **Dream Tea Mixes**

One fine night, more bitter herbal tea came before me. It was a strong and very bitter brew, indeed.Three tea bags of catnip, a  bag of the green fae tea and another 5th bag of herb tea containing some Calea, Clary sage, white sage, lavender ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lavender  and  http://www.erowid.org/herbs/lavender/lavender.shtml ) with a dash of lemon juice had been brewed in hot water for ~30minutes.

I sipped it slow. It was bitter to the mouth. Soon it caused a haziness of the head. Mild, and vague, OEVs started to form. At first, they were just spots of colors. There were CEVs as well. These were of a Christmas theme. Santa and his elves, and a candy cane at the North pole. Some reindeers and a slay. All quite stereotypical archetypes, and these CEVs turned into vivid dreams as I fell asleep.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another Cup of Night Cap Dream Tea

Once again, a cup of bitter herb tea was made. This time 2 bags of catnip, 2 bags of the green fae mix, another bag with some inebriating mint ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lagochilus_inebrians  and  http://www.erowid.org/plants/lagochilus/lagochilus.shtml ) and a 6th bag of SD ( http://www.erowid.org/plants/salvia/salvia.shtml ) leaf in it were brewed for ~30 minutes. Once again, this was a bitter brew. I sipped it very slow. After the first cup was gone, I added some more hot water. I left it to set ~15 minutes. There was still some bitterness to it, but it was not as bitter as before. The 2nd cup of tea was also sipped slow.

After about a half hour, CEVs started to come to me. An elfin clown of wood with a septagram shaped collar. A elf-tree that formed a crescent to the left and right of her. That faded to a geometric vortex. Then a flower lady formed in the middle of the vortex. The lady then turned to a lady with a hat. After that, the elf-tree returned, and I noticed a vulva shaped knot at the base of the tree vision. At that point, I fell asleep, and a weird sex dream about two famous singers came to me. In the dream the female singer was in leather, and she was dominating the younger male singer. She ties him to a bed, and she rides him wild. I won't put their names her, for it is only a dream.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Even More Bitter Tea Came Before Me

Into the cup of hot water was placed 2 bags of the green fae mix, and a bag with some dry coleus ( http://www.erowid.org/plants/coleus/coleus.shtml ) leaves in it. After about 20 minutes, it formed a red color. It was a bitter brew, per usual. It was sipped slow, and a strange dreamy feeling came over me. Thoughts of ancient peoples came before me.

As I fell asleep, a scene of a Medean Magi priest( wizard/sorcerer ) in an ancient city came before me. He had a violet robe and pointed hat. There were gold colored stars and other symbols on his robe and hat.

He has a beautiful daughter. She has jet black hair and a red and white dress. Her name is Melissa, and she likes a warrior named Orion. Orion has a thick brown beard and intricate armor. Orion shows off his horsemanship to her. She invites him to dine at her palace. After dinner they go out to a balcony.

In the mean time, some men bring a chained dragon to the wizard. The dragon is in a courtyard, but he escaped. Then the dragon climes the palace. He grabbed the girl and climbs up a tower. Orion climbed after them. The dragon goes up onto a flat roof area. Orion catches up with them. He engages in combat with the dragon. He stabbed the dragon in the neck and fells him.

Such a ancient and romantic dream. The teas are bitter, but the visions are sweet.

Tea for fun: Elf Tea One

One night 2 bags of catnip and a 3rd gab of herbs with 1Tbs of blue lotus herb and a pinch each of dagga, lavender, Clary sage, white sage, rosemary and a tsp of thyme were put into some hot water. They were allowed to steep for the usual half hour or more. The spicy bitter brew was then sipped slow.

A bit later some mild drowsiness set in. As I closed my eyes some visions did come unto me. At first they were just faint patterns, then a scene of a gnome digging a hole came to me. I was not asleep, so this was not a real dream. The gnome was looking for something, but I was not sure what. There seemed to be a forest near by him. However, before I got a good look, the scene/vision did fade away.

I tried to get back into the same mind set after that. However, I was to tired by then, and I just fell asleep. Regular dreams then followed thereafter.

This was a good sedative brew. It made a good night cap.

------------------------------------------------------------

One night another pint of herb tea came my way, and Elf Tea 2 shall be its name.

Into the hot water did go 2 bags of catnip herb, 1 bag of puzzle mint blend, a tea ball with 2 pinches each of poppy seeds thyme and the green Fae incense(a mixture of the resins/extracts of catnip, mug-wort and wormwood saturated upon catnip buds), and one pinch each of lavender, rosemary, anise seed and Mexican tarragon. The three tea bags and the metal tea ball found their way into the hot water. There they did steep for a half hour or more.

Most of these herbs are said to be ones of which the Fae folk are fond, or so the legends do tell. After such time as it sat, the tea was sipped slow. It, too, was a bitter, but spicy, sedating brew. For sleep it is a good tea, that would be true of such a brew. It was more bitter then the first one, though.

Once again as I closed my eyes, the visions did come unto me. In a forest I did see a cottage. Near it was a mushroom like umbrella on a wooden table. That is the umbrella, or parasol, was attached to the table, and it was opened above it. There was a mug on the table as well. Upon the mug was painted a humming bird drinking nectar from a flower. On the other side of the mug was a symbolic/simplistic tree, as well. The scene then did change.

I then saw two Faes hugging and naked. A male and female Faes, and they made love in a mist of a forest. With passion and grace in a grove of glowers. The grove was in a break in-between the trees of the forest. As the scene did fade, auroras were formed out of the forest of trees.

These closed eye visions were followed by a deep sleep. After I awoke the nest morning, I still felt a vague mild buzz. However, it was not a hungover feel.

Elfin Incense

Some time later I figured to try an incense similar to the elfin tea from before. As I reached into my cupboard, I found that there was only one pinch of the green Fae incense left. With it I did mix a big pinch of blue lotus stamens, and a few few crumbs of the lavender, rosemary and thyme. Into the scepter it all did go. It took four or five drags to inhale.

After such, a cloudy drowsiness did come over me. I was not able to keep awake, so I fell asleep very fast. Unfortunately, I fell asleep so fast that I did not remember my dreams. However, it was a deep sleep that had commenced upon me that time.

Some more notes came to be via e-mail from the giant Guinea pig Jimmy. These notes seem to be about combining 100mg of SD leaf with various other herbal or fungal materials to be burned as an incense. I figured it would be good to add to the Mint Dreams and Green Fae Scenes Blog. The purpose here seems to be a search for synergy between SD and other things. The 100mg of SD leaf is a low dose. On its own it would not do much, and the same is true of many of the other things it was mixed with. Thus, if any very notable effects took place, as possible synergy could be ascertained.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amanita Muscaria extract upon Salvia divinorum leaf as an incense.

Once upon a time the gnome in the cellar decided to make an extract of an 8g dried cap from an AM (Amanita muscaria  mushroom). It was extracted with 91% IPA (Isopropyl alcohol) over a period of 2 weeks, or at least that is what this gnome claimed. The extract of the AM was saturated onto 0.3g of plain SD (Salvia divinorum) leaf. The total weight upon drying was 0.8g. Thus, 0.5g of said combination would have been the AM extract.

A third of the mixture made its way into the incense scepter. The incense was torched, and the vapors thereof inhaled. It was gone in 3 drags. A strong buzz came over me, but I did not detect anything in it to be like that of SD. The only effects notable were those of the AM. In the past I had tried orally dosing with an AM cap followed by a quid of SD. In that case the same thing occurred. The AM seemed to hold down the effects of the SD.

However, the effects were such that I seen some minor trails and the floor did look a bit wavy. I lied down upon my bed, and I placed a pillow over my eyes to see what the darkness would behold. However, it beheld nothing. Not even any visual disturbances in the dark.

An hour and 15 minutes later did pass. I felt a bit strange and surreal, but it was more like DXM and not like SD. I had gotten this kind of effect from eating AMs in the past. The feeling is a quite dreamy sensation, but the visual effect is more of a glazed over theme. About 10 minutes later, a strong drowsiness also set in. This led me to fall asleep for three hours.
This makes me feel the effects were more of a sedative nature and not very psychedelic.
There were a few visual disturbances and alteration of sight, but over all the effect was a strong sedative one that lasted a total of about four hours. Once again, there was not only no synergy between the AM and SD, but the AM seemed to interfere with the effects of the SD in this case. The dosage would have been ~165mg of AM extract on 100mg of SD leaf.

I feel that the AM extract could have just as well been put onto some pepper mint or spear mint leaf.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SD + Artemisia capillaris.

One day the scepter came before me. It has 0.1g of SD leaf and 0.1g of A. capillaris herb inside of it. This was then ignited, and the fumes inhaled in four drags. Each drag was held for the usual count of 20. A feeling of moving, or sliding, down a embankment came over me. This was a sensation of being dragged forward. An SD gravity type of effect. The usual surreal and subtle buzz I associate with SD was, indeed, there. However, there were no visuals at all.

The SD like effect quickly faded, as well. It was replaced by a mild sedative type buzz. A buzziness like a small dose of MJ would give. The total effects of the mixture faded by the one hour and 15 minutes mark. Although there were not OEV or CEV during the experience, I do recall a thought in my head about a smelf with a hat with shingles upon it. If the dosage of SD had been three or four times higher, he may have materialized before me.

Also, in the past I had tried the A. capillaris as incense at the 0.3g. The effects were of MJ like quality then, as well.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There was no notable synergy here, but the additional effect was of interest.

------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sally and the Garden sage.

Another day came my way, and the scepter returned again before me. In its head it has a mix of 0.1g of SD leaf and 0.1g of some common garden sage (S. oficinalis) leaf. as well. The torch, also, came before me. The scepter was torched, and three drags were taken.

There was a sinking back feeling. One of those minor Salvia gravity things. However, there were no real visuals changes or visions, though. It was just a falling back kind of feeling. A weird feeling and surreal buzz lingered on for about 10 more minutes. That was then followed by some minor drowsiness, and then I fell asleep.

There was no notable synergy here. It did taste nice, though.

------------------------

SD + Clary Sage: An interesting Incense.

Another day, and another scepter full of herbs. This time it was a combination of 0.1g SD leaf and 0.1g Clary sage (S. sclarea). The scepter beckoned to be torched. The vapors were taken in four inhalations.

The effects were instant. There was a sensation of slipping backwards. Like going backwards down a slide. Back, back in time as well. However, it was not real clear. It was a thought that was transparently applied to the current time. There was an overlay, if you will, of a place I had once lived at the age of three. This translucent vision lasted only a few minutes, but it was more than I would have expected from only 100mg of SD leaf. This made me feel that there was a synergy going on. That is just the type of thing I was looking for.

A few minutes after the vision was over, I noticed that the mucus in my throat loosening. An expectorant type of effect. I felt that was from the Clary sage. There was also still a surreal buzz about me at that point. I then closed my eyes, and I saw some auroras as CEV. These effects lasted for about a half hour, and then it faded back to baseline.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PS: This mixture seems to be of interest. More notes may appear concerning such.

------------------------------------------------

One day Sally and her sister the green Fae came my way.

The incense scepter was sitting there before me. In side was a mix of 0.1g of the 6X green Fae incense and another 0.1g of SD leaf. BTW, the green Fae incense of which I speak is made from the resins of 1one part each of mug-wort, wormwood and catnip that have been laced upon an equal amount of catnip buds.

Whatever the case, the torch came before me, as well. It was standing there next to the incense scepter. Henceforth, incineration of the contents of the scepter commenced. The vapors were inhaled in four drags, and held for a bout 20 seconds each time. It then took me some where in my mind's eye. It was the back porch of my grandmother's house. However, it was only a thought that did not totally materialize. With a larger amount of the SD leaf it may have been more clear.

There were, however, some auroras of zig-Zagged lines of green, black and orange that crossed my field of vision in the darkness. This was one of the SD aurora things. There was also some SD gravity in the form of a sensation of pulling toward, or from, the right of me.
After that a surreal/subtle buzz lingered for a few more minutes.

All and all, this mixture shows promise. There seemed to be a synergy, for 100mg of SD leaf typically has very little effect upon me. The effects in this case were noteworthy. In previous experiments, one mixed SD leaf with other thujone containing herbs with no notable synergy, so I suspect that the catnip in the green Fae mix may have been a factor.
----------------------------------------------------

Victoria and Sally

The scepter came before me once again. It had a mixture of 0.1g of Victoria Blue Sage (Salvia farinacea) and 0.1g of SD leaf in it. The torch then came before me, as well. The contents of the scepter were incinerated in 4 drags. After that some visual patterns tried to form, but they did not quite materialize. There was also a driftiness. Like as if the bed I was on was a raft on a sea or lake.

Five more minutes later there was still a vague buzz and some minor visual disturbances. Another five minutes passed, and there was a shift in sensation. It was now an MJ like feel, but there was better clarity to it. At that point the effects seemed to be only the S. farinacea. The SD drifty feeling had faded. After about a half hour, however, that effect also faded.

----------------------------------------------------

Sally and the Lion

Another day, and another visit from the scepter. This time it has a mix of 0.1g wild dagga/lion's tail and 0.1g SD leaf in it. The mix was incinerated and taken in four hits.

I, once again, got that drifty SD feeling and a surreal buzz. A few minutes later there was a more relaxed feeling that followed that. That would be one more like the wild dagga would do. There are some minor trails following my hands, and a thought of a quart yard that does not quite materialize to the visual side came to me. That was then followed by drowsiness, and at that point normal sleep set in.

Sally and Calea

Another visit from the scepter. This time the scepter was filled with a mixture of 0.1g of Calea herb and 0.1g of SD leaf. Then the torch came before me, and the herbs withing the scepter were gone in four drags. The usual SD driftiness came over me, and that was followed by the usual surreal/odd buzz that I associate with SD. At that point a thought about a tree came to me. Perhaps it was a tree from long ago. However, that was soon followed by drowsiness, and I then fell asleep at the 10 minute point. No dreams were recalled or noted. It was like the SD was all that was felt.

------------------------------------------------

Sally and Red.

Another day come, and another scepter full of sage comes before me. This time there is a mixture of 0.1g of SD leaf and 0.1g of Red Texas Sage (S. coccinea) flower and leaf in it. The torch comes before the scepter, and the sage is ignited within. Four drags are inhaled, and the herbs are gone. The driftiness commences upon me. Some auroras of vague colored light fill the room. Thoughts about my Grandmothers house the way it looked long ago come to me, but no visions about it come before me this time. It is just the thoughts about it. After that, a drowsiness followed. At the 25 minute point, I fell asleep.

------------------------------------------------

Sally and the Old Man

Another morning, and the scepter is there again. This time it has a mixture of leaves of  0.1g SD and 0.1g of White Sage (S. apiana) within. I have smelled this incense mix before, but it had been a little while since then. White sage, also called Old Man Sage, is very fragrant, and both of these herbs are among the most sacred of sages. The torch came to incinerate the herbs in the scepter. In three drags such was inhaled. The drifty feel comes to me again, and an odd physical feeling accompanies it. Thoughts echoed through my head like sound through the neighborhood. However, the thoughts were not all that well defined. It was just a drifty state of mind that soon passed. Such did not last, and was replaced by a more conventional buzz reminiscent of an MJ kind of feel. It was no a more relaxed feeling, but that, too, soon faded at the half hour point.

------------------------------------------------

Sally and Blue

Another mixture of herbs that I have visited before came unto me on day. Today the scepter was filled with a mixture of 0.1g SD leaf and 0.1g of the stamens of Blue Lily of the Nile/Blue Lotus. In three inhalations the smoke was gone. Wavy aurora like lines filled the darkness. When I went back into the more well lit areas, there ware minor trails following after my hands. There were some minor visual disturbances too, but nothing well formed.
After 20 minutes there was still a surreal/subtle buzz. A few minutes after that, the feeling switched to a flouting sensation. That was followed by a glazed over opiate kind of feeling. At that point it was vague, but it was still notable. The later effects lasted a while, so I figure it was more the Blue Lotus at that point. By the one and a quarter hour point, I was down to baseline. If there was a synergy to this mix, if at all, it was more along the opiate side than the trippy one.

------------------------------------------------

More Visits with Sally and Blue

Another mixture of 0.1g of  Blue Lotus stamens and 0.1g of SD leaf was in the scepter. It came before me again. Like some old friend coming back to visit. The mixture was combusted and inhaled in three drags. There was a down-pouring of SD gravity. It came in waves. That was again followed by introspective thought, but nothing that noteworthy off hand.
Then the odd/ surreal buzz and drowsiness. I soon fell asleep, and had dreams of the normal type. However, there was good dream recall. This makes me want to try an herb tea made out of a mixture of these two herbs.

------------------------------------------------

A Sally and Blue Tea.

Into a coffee filter paper was piled 3g each of coarsely ground Blue Lotus herb and flowers and SD leaf. The mixture was bound together in the paper like an envelope. The envelope was then stapled together into a giant tea bag. The tea was brewed with only a half cup of boiled filtered water. It then allowed to steep for >a half hour. At that point, it was sipped very slowly. Each mouth full was allowed to set in the mouth for > five minutes. In this was the herb tea was taken like an aqueous tincture. By the fifth mouth-full, the effects were starting to set in.

A vague geometric auroras and overlapping "V" patterns started to form in the darkness. The "V" marks formed a heart shape above them. Then crescents formed to the left and right of that vision. The "Vs" then shifted into a star shape. A pentagram, then a hexagram and then a septagram. They then replicated into mirror images, and then the lower one turned into an angel with more crescent moon shapes to her left and to her right. The crescents replicated outward from the center. The angel was above a pyramid shape.

I then closed my eyes for a moment. When I did so, a vision of an airport came to me. Like some sort of dream of something yet to be. A premonitions of a future trip perhaps. I opened my eyes again, and I saw a strange tree in the darkness form before me. The tree vision then shifted into one of the horned owl sitting on a crescent moon emblem. It was a cartoon like motif vision. I then closed my eyes again, and I got a vision of a couple with a baby in a pink blanket. This was then followed by drowsiness, and that, also, was followed by a deep state of sleep.

------------------------------------------------
Blue and other Sages

There were a few more notes about mixing BL(Blue Lotus) stamens with a few other types of sages besides SD. The mixtures were also in the 0.1g/ each range. A brief over view of them are as followed; BL + White Sage= mild codeine like effect, BL + Clary Sage=mild SD like effect followed by a mild oxycodone like effect, BL + TX Red Sage=  mild hydrocodone like effect, and  BL +  broad leaf garden Sage= codeine like effect. The last one seemed to have a synergy to it.However, the synergy, once again, was along the opiate like lines. In the past, I had found BL does, indeed, synergized with the turpine thujone. Thujone is found in garden sage, as well as wormwood and mug-wort.

My next line of experiments will be with herb teas made to enhance dream recall, induce vivid or lucid dreams. This time, however, the mixtures will be including A mixture of BL, or other lotus herbs, with sages and/or sage brush type plants. I had tried Calea for this type of thing in the past, but Calea has proved to be rather inconsistent and not very reliable.

Pleasant Dreams Tea

One day a mixture of 5g mug-wort herb, 2g Blue Lotus herb and 0.6g wormwood herb were placed into a coffee filter. The filter, with herbs within, was stapled together into an envelope type tea bag. It was then steeped in hot water for >a half hour. Upon sipping, the tea was found to have a strong sedative effect. The tea was an amber and bitter brew, but that was to be expected with the wormwood and mug-wort in it.

Upon falling asleep, I recalled some vivid dream about a young sister and brother helping their father run a small factory type business. When I awoke 8 hours later, I felt a some haziness for a while. But I would not call such a hang over. More like a residual buzz.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Elf Tea: A 7 Herb Blend.

2 bags of catnip herb, and a third bag with a mixture of; 2 Tbs blue lotus herb, 2 tsp Clary sage, 3 tsp Salvia divinorum and a pinch each of lavender, rosemary and wild dagga herb in it, were steeped in a half cup of hot water for >a half hour. The bags were then squeezed out thoroughly of liquid upon removal from the hot water. The herb tea was then sipped very slow. It was taken more like a aqueous tincture. With each sip being held in the mouth for > five minutes. After about a half an hour passed, there were some minor visual patterns in the darkness. The patterns were of the replicating type. The usual type for an SD vision quests.
